Black Friday and Cyber Monday Set the Stage for Customer Experience
It’s the holiday season! With Black Friday sales, increasing foot traffic into brick-and-mortar stores is on many retailers’ wish lists. And Cyber Monday, it’s all about a perfect online experience for consumers who prefer to shop behind the screen.
According to the Holiday Shopping Report by Criteo, in-store shopping is still preferred by over 60% of consumers. In the weeks leading to Christmas, in-store shopping increases by over 70%.
Regardless of where and how consumers are purchasing, the focus of retailers should be on the customer experience.
As 2020 approaches, the trends of retail are pointing to consumer engagement. “Customer engagement is going to be very important. A lot of retailers are focusing on increasing in-store experiences and making sure it matches the online and digital experience,” said Sid Mookerji, retail industry leader and founder of Silicon Road, a retail technology investment fund.
Advancement in artificial intelligence (AI), bots, augmented and virtual reality technologies, will enhance the consumer experience in-store and digitally.
